They're both very playable in human form, though. You basically swap archetypes as the situation requires when you're a PB, and you swap constantly as a WS. Early on they play a bit like blasters, which includes blaster squishitude, then they turn into predominantly scrapper/brute/dominator/insert in your face melee caster here play with the occasional bout of pure blasting. Once you get all your toys Khelds can handle just about anything they encounter with the exception of entire maps filled with void hunters. It was a bit rough, but doing a few sewer trials got me past that point handily. My peacebringer struggled a little until he got some more toys past squidform, for whatever reason. I'm told they used to be worse, but I still got put down like a rabid dog by one of them yesterday. With the caveat that every now and again you will get two shot by some mook with a space laser cannon designed to slap your shit. Naw, Khelds can go it alone just fiiiiiine. Usually five-slotting a purple set caps out damage/rech anyway. I assume the new mids probably has functionality for this, but I'm not sure precisely how to make it do it (the enhancement-levels thing always seemed buggy in previous versions, but maybe it works now.)Įd: I don't generally see the margin in using the boosters on purples, unless you're using purple IOs in some kind of specific frankenslot setup. The two obvious places to do this for ill/rad would be in hasten like flammie describes or in phantom army (which you're probably slotting for more raw recharge than is provided by a four slot recharge-intensive pets set.) Maybe in accelerate metabolism too, depending on how you have it slotted. Then you can use whatever slots you saved to put another set bonus together somewhere else. The bonus levels on enhancements can't provide a larger percentage bonus than would be permitted by ED anyway the advantage is that you can sometimes use them to do with two slots what previously required three. If you have a build handy and can paste a datalink, I can give some additional suggestions on specific slots. Yeah, when selecting the enhancement in mids, right-click the placed enhancement, then type in (level) followed by a bunch of +s, then hit enter. Where would be the best spots to put +5 onto? Is there a way in MIDS to show this? I want to try and use enhancement boosters to get hasten/AM/Phantom Army to permanent. Lets use an ill/rad instead of a fire/kin. There was a bug that let you trade boosted IOs in order to strip them of the bonuses and make them mailable again, but I don't know if it still exists. Note this costs a ton and boosted IOs are bound to the character, so do this with expensive purples only if you're committed. Hasten with two 50+5 rech IOs ends up with 106% before ED, and you can use similar slotting on things like fulcrum shift to get more slots for sets elsewhere. Don't have a fire/kin proper, but on my min/maxed characters, you can use them to reduce any three-slot need down to two.
